好吧,我不得不承认伟大教主的战略眼光是很好地,但是把广告这么搞到天上去未免也太奢侈了一些些吧..
难道是外星兄弟也对某个美国加州的水果公司感兴趣?

只是告诉大家一句,我并没有消失。只是在忙Chinese City Professionals的一些事情。一个周末把一个残废的网站扶持到能够全面运作的E-business,我也觉得自己很有人品。

Dear CCP members,

We are glad to inform you, Chinese City Professionals (CCP) has been formally set up as an organization in the recent days. We would like to use this opportunity to announce the establishment of our official website.

Please register and have a look around. The HOME page is the CCP blog, where the CCP’s diary will be kept. All members can submit a post to be published here, subject to review. In the “About Us” page, you will find CCP’s mission statement, legal information as well as the current Committee Members. In the “Events” Page, you will be able to see information about all CCP events. All future information and announcements will be made at this page exclusively. In the “Shop” page you can purchase tickets for CP events and any other service we may be offering in the future. All transaction are through Paypal, so you can have peace in mind knowing you are fully protected when purchasing. Then we have the “Forum”, which I am sure you all know what’s it for and how to use it:) We have some forums setup already and more is coming up! Finally you can use the “Contact CCP” page to give us feedback about the organization or let us know any bug you found on the site.

Because Chinese City Professionals is a not-for-profit organization, we would need your help to keep the organization running. Therefore this website will become an membership-only site from Jan 1st 2008, where only paid members will be able to view the contents. But before that time comes, all members are benefiting from the free trail period we are offering. You are welcome to register now and try out all of the functionality of the site. An notification will be sent out to registered members to purchase the annual membership for £10 on 01/01/2008.

To formally introduce the organization and the committee to everyone, we are inviting you to a great launch party! Details are as follows:

Time: From 7pm to 12pm but welcome to stay until 3am, if you feel like it.

Dress code: Smart casual

Door policy: CCP members or potential CCP members. Please mention the venue name “Chinese City Professionals - CCP” if you arrive after 9pm and they try to charge you 10 pounds to entry :)

Please reserve your place by booking tickets on www.ChineseCityPros.org . We offer 20% online discount! Standard admission to the party costs 12 Pounds at the door, but members only pay 10 pounds online through Paypal! We will have a ticket office at the entrance of the Glam Bar (inside On Anon, 1st floor). The first 40 people to arrive at the event will have one free drink provided by CCP :)

自从上次说了要写French toast的配方,转瞬之间已经过去快2个礼拜的时间了。为了让大家明白我不是一个光说不练、言而无信的骗子,今天在下班前最后一点点的空闲时间里,终于把这篇食谱搞了出来。说到生活中的小幸福,其实真的无处不在。如果说要是让我晚上回家酒足饭饱之后,放弃团在沙发上看电影的机会而爬起来写blog的话,一定会觉得那是一件痛苦不堪的事情。可是如果同样是写这么多字,但是却是利用上班时间老板不在监视的那难得的时光来完成,心里却能够得到至高无上的satisfaction :D

说是祖传,其实这个配方也不过就是从我美国老妈那里偷师来的而已。记得还在上高中的时候,每到感恩节或者是圣诞节的早上,整个家里都会弥漫着牛奶,鸡蛋还有肉桂混合的香味。比起火鸡或者圣诞礼物来,新鲜热辣出炉的french toast可有诱惑多了。 和外边平时能吃到的大路版法式土司不同,妈妈的这个版本的特别之处在于它不是用平底锅一片一片煎出来,而是隔夜就大批量的腌制好,然后早晨直接丢进烤箱等着就行。由于大批量的流水线运作导致成本的明显下降,以及操作工人的熟练程度迅速提升,很快我也能自己搞定这个简单而美味的家传甜点了。

法式长棍面包一大条,我用的一般有1米左右
鸡蛋4个
牛奶大概1.5升
Butter 适量
红糖 1-2cups
香草香精 一汤匙
肉桂粉适量

把面包切片,厚度大概和你的烤盘的3/4高度差不多,平铺满整个烤盘
把鸡蛋打碎,和牛奶一同倒入锅中,中火加热
用平底锅把butter融化,然后把红糖炒成糖浆,小心不要弄焦
把糖浆倒入牛奶锅中,不断搅拌。小心温度,牛奶太冷的话,糖浆会立即凝固,太热的话,就变成蛋花汤了。
搅和得差不多的时候,把牛奶混合液慢慢倒入烤盘。这时候你会看到面包一个个漂浮在白花花的牛奶海上。
按照个人喜好洒上一层肉桂粉,用保鲜膜把烤盘封上,放在冰箱里面冷藏一晚。
早上要吃的时候,烤箱加热到190度,丢进去弄个12-15分钟就好了。小心看着点面包的表面,不要烤焦。

做好以后,一拉开烤箱的门就能闻到浓浓的奶蛋香。挖出两块来,撒上肉桂粉,再浇上枫树糖浆,娃哈哈,很温馨的享受如同牛奶炖蛋一样的细腻香甜吧。每天早上吃2块,能让很馋的小厨坚持整整一个礼拜呢。不用早上起来做饭,每天又能多睡20分钟了阿。

伦敦的秋天似乎总是很短。上一秒钟金黄色的叶片还没有落尽,转瞬之间就又已经到了那个需要穿毛线背心的季节。路上的行人已经开始陆陆续续的套上了灰黑色的大衣,撑着一朵朵黑蘑菇样的雨伞,在阴云密布的伦敦街头行色匆匆的走着。我也只是其中的那一个,直到走进一条小巷,被一股甜香拉住了脚步。

Paul

在寒冷的季节,甜品总是分外的有诱惑力的。坐在公园的长凳上,双手捧着一杯刚刚做好的热巧克力。虽然隔着毛线手套,那种温暖的感觉还是可以从手掌蔓延到全身。把纸杯送到嘴边,小小的喝一口。先是舌尖被烫到一下,然后就能感觉到异常浓厚的流质从那一点扩散开来,滑过整个舌面,摩擦着每一粒味蕾。无以伦比的浓郁香甜,厚实的感觉仿佛那不再是流动的液体,而是一块最优质的黑巧克力,在口中逐渐融化。流到了喉咙口,需要用力吞一下,才会咕噜一声的滑下,带起一条慵懒的暖意,在胸口逐渐扩散开来。于是从鼻孔吸进那有些凉意的空气,在口中用舌头和它把玩一会,再从嘴巴里吐出来。看着白色的水雾带着方才的巧克力甜香袅绕在眼前,整个世界的节奏仿佛都慢下来一些,一切不再是黑色,而是咖啡色,巧克力色的了。一点点的变化,却带来无限的暖意。

后话: 语言的形容其实是很难描述出Paul这家店的Hot Chocolate和别人家的是如何的不同。请原谅我词汇的匮乏,只是那种厚重的口感,却又不乏幼滑的细节,恐怕是只有亲自尝上一口才能真正领会到了。Paul的看家本领其实都还不是做热饮,而是他的面包和蛋糕。介于6点下班在即,这些剩下的只好下次再说咯。先看看图流流口水也成啊。
